Optimum Business celebra el Mes de la Herencia Hispana

This Hispanic Heritage Month, Optimum Business is once again proud to join the Hispanic community and Hispanic-owned businesses to celebrate their culture, traditions, achievements, and the many contributions to our society.

Hispanic businesses are estimated to employ 2.7 million Americans, proving just how important these businesses are to our communities. These business owners' drive to succeed perfectly captures the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month. Optimum Business is proud to highlight these Hispanic entrepreneurs as part of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

Anabel Magallanes, the founder of Mita Artisan Shoppe, was inspired by her grandmother, Mita’s love for Mexico and its culture, to open her storefront during the pandemic. “Family support is everything,” Magallanes states.

In Tyler, Texas, Magallanes's small business specializes in handmade embroidered clothing, décor, and accessories made in Mexico. Supporting the Hispanic community, Mita Artisan Shoppe is the place to go to get traditional Mexican clothing for fiesta-themed celebrations.

Katherine Cortavarria, the owner of Manantial Cleaning Services, Inc., which provides reliable and professional service to customers in the Tri-state area, was driven to provide the highest quality commercial cleaning services after being a Site Manager of a large cleaning contractor company and observing that many cleaning crews were lacking in the amount of detail they put into their cleaning and service. After much effort and Cortavarria's determination and perseverance, Manantial continues to evolve and grow each year, providing more services that range from commercial janitorial to professional disinfection and from post-construction cleaning to floor stripping and waxing.

Maintaining that same spirit of supporting and representing her community Cortavarria is a proud member of the Suffolk County Hispanic Advisory Board and is dedicated to supporting local women-owned businesses and minority-owned businesses like Manantial Cleaning Services. Blenlly Mena, the founder of Next Stop Vegan, serving Latin vegan food in Bronx, NY, has only grown in popularity since the pandemic began. “We cook with love and creativity without compromising our Latin flavors so that our clients are able to celebrate and enjoy the wonders of vegan food,” states Mena. Mena’s enthusiasm for veganism, her love and appreciation for her Latin culture, and her fierce belief in the importance of empowering women make her an inspiring entrepreneur. The tradition around food in her family and culture led her to open her business. Mena explains, “Food means celebrations with my family. It’s a continuous memory of family time and/or love and warmth from my mother. Food means love and care and this is what inspired me to start the restaurant.” Para conocer más, visite https://www.instagram.com/nextstopvegan/?hl=en
