How To Join the 2022 Charleston Clay Center Summer Camp
What are Summer Camps?
If you're reading this article about the 2022 Charleston Clay Center Summer Camp, you may already be aware of how fun they can be for kids. Yes, traditional fishing and sleeping outside camping programs do still exist, but there are other and (more) educational camping programs out there. In fact, there are tons of awesome organizations offering summer camps with many special activities and different learning environments today. The four star rated nonprofit Clay Center in Charleston is one such organization.
Day Summer Camps Vs Sleepaway Summer Camps
Did you know summer camps are not all "sleepaway camps"? Sleepaway camps are supervised programs where teens and children spend overnight time away from home. "Day camps" are just as their names state; these programs are held during the day and sometimes into the evenings. Parents should be sure to ask the campground staff about the programs details before assuming they may leave the child overnight.
The Clay Center For Arts & Sciences of West Virginia
The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia is located in Charleston, WV. The center opened its 240,000 square foot center for the arts and sciences on July 12, 2003. The Clay Center is one of the preeminent economic engines for the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia. It even holds Broadway in Charleston shows and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Moreover, to this day it continues to provide educational and cultural resources for students and citizens. With over 15 years of serving more than 2 million residents onsite, it's no wonder their community outreach efforts are known and very much supported by WV parents. This summer they will continue to do the same, with summer camps for art, summer camps for robot building, workshops, and more!
